There is no best style. Each buys something and gives something up, and the trade only becomes obvious two years in — which is exactly when renaming is expensive.
Instantly legible and findable. The cost is that it boxes you in: the day you want to cover something else, the name argues with you.
Positions you as the reference rather than a diary. It sets a bar you then have to clear in every video.
Implies people rather than a broadcaster, which helps comments and memberships. Weaker in search, because nobody types it.
Travels with you across any subject change, and it is the only style nobody else can take. It also ties the channel's value to you personally, forever.
Short, brandable, and a clean handle with no spaces to lose. Harder to find in search, and people will mishear where the words split.
Alliteration and rhythm are measurably easier to recall. They are also harder to take seriously, which matters if you want sponsors.
The part that runs out
Your name is free. Your handle is not.

Handles arrived in late 2022 and every channel got one, so the short and obvious strings went immediately. That is why a name generator that stops at the display name is only doing the easy half — the constraint that will actually change your decision is which handles remain.
The rules: 3 to 30 characters, letters, numbers, underscores, hyphens and periods. No spaces, no emoji, and it cannot be all digits — YouTube rejects anything that could read as a phone number. Uniqueness ignores case.
Changing it later is possible and lossy. You can change a handle in Studio, but the old one is released for anyone to take, and every link, mention and video description pointing at it breaks. The display name changes freely; the handle is the one to think about.
A green check here means no channel currently holds that handle. It does not reserve it — handles are claimed instantly, and YouTube holds some strings back. The only definitive answer is claiming it.
Limits
What this generator cannot do
The check reads current state. Between the check and your claim, anyone can take it — and popular strings do go quickly.
It has no idea whether a name is someone's registered mark. For anything you plan to build a business on, that is a search you have to run yourself.
The word lists are English. A name that reads well here may be unfortunate in another language, and no automated check catches that.
Channel names are not a ranking factor. Any tool implying a keyword-stuffed name lifts you in search is selling something.
The score measures usability — length, sayability, whether it dates. It has no opinion on whether a name is good, because that is not a computable question.
It builds from your topic. A one-word input gives narrow results; describing the channel in three or four words gives it something to work with.
