How is the trending list ranked?+
We pull YouTube's official most-popular chart for the selected country, then re-rank it by views per hour since publish — the heat score. A video with 2M views in 12 hours ranks above one with 5M views in a week, which is what 'trending right now' actually means.
What is the Region diff?+
This tool's signature: pick two countries and get their trending charts compared side by side — what's trending only in country A, only in country B, and what both share (with rank differences). For multi-market channels it's trend arbitrage: a format blowing up in the US that hasn't reached Germany yet is tomorrow's German video, made today.
Why is trending different per country?+
YouTube computes a separate chart per market from local view velocity, so a video trending in Germany may not chart in the US at all. That gap is exactly what the Region diff measures — including the overlap percentage between any two markets.
Can I see trending music only?+
Yes — use the Music toggle or the category filter. Music dominates raw trending charts, so filtering it out (or in) changes the picture completely. Filters apply to both sides of the Region diff too.
How fresh is the data?+
The chart is fetched live from the YouTube Data API and cached for one hour per region. The 'fetched' stamp on the grid tells you exactly how old the snapshot is.
